Tiny fingers, tiny toes

Summary

A poem dedicated to the little ones in my life

Tiny fingers,tiny toes

Tiny fingers, tiny toes
I came to offer you my words
The people that say that there's nothing in the dark
Never learned how to see the light

Tiny fingers, tiny toes
The good world is waiting to be found
And though it can't be found anywhere around you
You can always feel it inside you

Know that the world is not always blue skies and a golden sun
The world is bound to throw some storms along
But even the most dangerous storms have beauty in them

It's a beautiful catastrophe
It's a wonderful disaster
It's life and it's what you're coming into

It's amazingly terrible
It's emotionally unstable
But it's life and living it will be the best thing you ever do

Tiny fingers, tiny toes
Praise the colorful among the blanks
Those who see among a blind world
The fools who dream under the stars

Tiny fingers, tiny toes
Laugh without reason
Love without regret
Be a crazy mad hatter every day

Know that at some point you'll hit rock bottom
You'll want to put your head down
But from rock bottom the only way to go is up

It's a wonderful catastrophe
It's a beautiful disaster
It's life and it's what you're coming into

It's terribly amazing
It's unstable emotionally
But it's life and living it will be the best thing you ever do

The road may not be smooth
But a bumpy road is much more fun
Your grip may loosen
So long as you don't let go
Your smile may falter
So I'll muster up a smile for the both of us

It's beautiful and wonderful
It's a disaster and a catastrophe
Welcome to the beginning of your life

It's amazing and terrible
It's emotional and unstable
Don't forget to live your life

Tiny fingers, tiny toes
There's still much to learn
Just know I'll be right by your side
Because it's life, you, and I
