To Hold A Heart

Summary

A lyrical poem that is a wannabe song

To Hold A Heart

To hold a heart you must be gentle
And that's not an easy thing to do
To hold a heart is to hold an entire world
That's as fragile as you
To hold a heart is life living
Now, let me speak because it's true

The world is spinning round and round
Hearts breaking every day and now
It's time you knew

That life isn't life without strife
And I know that it doesn't seem right
But there'd be no winter to our spring
No multitude of memories
No complexities to help us shine our light
Life isn't life without strife

To hold a heart is to be strong
Believe there's courage within you
To hold a heart is to understand there's pain
But tomorrow's coming soon
Hold a heart and be forever marked
But don't ever be ashamed to

Have someone break your heart
Or break someone's even though it's hard
It's a life we choose

Because life isn't life without strife
And I know that it doesn't seem right
But there'd be no winter to our spring
No multitude of memories
No complexities to help us shine our light
Life isn't life without strife

Please remember
Please be careful with your heart
Please remember
And consider your strong mind
Only reap good things in your heart
Don't let it fall to the dark
Oh but don't be afraid to jump and let it fly

To hold a heart is to shatter it to pieces
And scatter the remains across the sky
But then the sun begins to set
Your little pieces get stuck and then
Won't you look
They're stars
