While camping out the gang discover that their new town's event planner Peter Fisher is hiding a very mysterious dangerous secret
We're bored, what to do
The Money Dolls
It was a gloomy afternoon and Cookie and her friends were bored
hanging out inside her bedroom.
Trying to figure out what they were going to do for the day
“Gee, I forgot how boring this town is when we’re not working on a case.
There’s nothing to do.”
Daisy Penguin sighed before she popped another cheese ball into her mouth
“Hey, I know. Why don’t we ride our bikes over to Bank Rivers,
school will be starting in less than a week
“This would be our last chance to spend the afternoon fishing.”
Tommy Cub suggested
“Umm, I really don’t think that’s such a great idea.
It’s about a mile to get there and besides by the time we do
“It’ll probably too late to do any fishing anyways.” Sammy Turtle added
“Oh, don’t be such a limo Sammy.
We’ll just grab our camping gear,
a few bags of chips and some other goodies and camp out
“We should be having fun,
instead of just sitting around here begin bored all day.” Tommy shrugged
“I agree, I just hope that this trip won’t be as lame as the last time.
We all went out there
Not only did it rain, but the only fish any of us caught
“Was no bigger than Cookie’s tail.” Vicky Dragonfly laughed
Then after getting their parents’ permission and camping gear.
Along with some other stuff they headed out towards the river
An hour later they were setting up their camping gear
“Mat, was it okay with your mom that you came with us?”
Vicky asked him as she helped him put up his tent
“Sure, I just left her a note telling her where I’m.
besides she really doesn’t care much what I’m doing these days
“She’s too busy working.” Mat Brown sighed
“I’m sure that’s not true.” Vicky told him
“Isn’t she working for that weird sheep Peter, something.
Getting the town ready for our end of the summer final bash.”
Tommy asked him
“Peter Fisher, our town’s new event planner.
Ever since she started working for him I hardly see her anymore
“I understand that we need the money especially after my dad died.
But I didn’t think she’d be working every minute of every day!”
Mat cried out
“Mat, I’m sure that even though you may not like it.
She has her reasons why she’s working so hard
“She may not act like she doesn’t care what you’re doing.
But she does more then you’ll even know.”
Cookie smiled before giving him a big supportive hug
“Well, if ask me that dude is one creepy, weird.”
Sammy interrupted him by poking him in the ribs
“We didn’t ask you so zip it.”
A shocking discovery
They spent the rest of the afternoon goofing around and fishing
Later that night they sat around a big campfire
taking turns telling spooky stories
The next morning, they got up early and while the girls cleaned up.
The boys went out to gather up some more fire wood.
They were on their way back, when Tommy whispered over to them
“Hey, look over there!” Isn’t that Fisher?”
What is he doing way out here?”
“I don’t know, but isn’t a bit weird that he’d come all the way out here.
Just to throw away some garage bags.”
Sammy whispered back pointing to the two bags
“Maybe, we should go over there and see what’s inside those bags.”
Tommy told them after they saw Peter leave
And stepping out of their hiding spot from behind a big tree
“Are you nuts?” We don’t know where he disappeared to,
what if he came back and saw us
“Let’s just go back.” Sammy frowned
A short while later they told the girls what they just finished seeing
“Oh wow, and did you guys, see what was inside the bags?”
Cookie asked them
“Nope, we were nervous that he’d come back and catch us.
So, we just came straight over here.”
Tommy answered her.
Then after talking it over some more
They decided that if they didn’t go and see what was inside those bags
it’d drive them nuts
They quietly walked over to the spot in
where the boys thought, they saw Fisher, hiding his bags
“There’s nothing here but just a bunch of poison ivy.
Let’s just pack up our stuff and go home.” Sammy whined.
Vicky picked up a stick and brushed it off”
“You’ve nothing to worry about Sammy, it’s fake.” Vicky smiled
Vicky bent down and picked up the plastic ivy and handed it to him
“See, it’s just a bunch of plastic twigs made up to look like the real thing.”
“Weird, why he’d do something like that?” Mat frowned
“Better yet, why’d he come all the way out here
just to hide a bunch of creepy looking old dolls.”
Daisy added also frowning
after she picked up one of the bags and looked inside of it
“Some of them even have big holes on top of their heads.” She added
“Can I see it?” Vicky asked her
Vicky took the doll and shook it
“I think there’s something inside of it.”
She said before she flipped the doll
and a whole bunch of diamonds spilled onto the ground
“Whoa, is that what I think it is?” Tommy whistled.
Vicky picked up the diamond from the ground and took a closer look at it
“Looks pretty real to me.” She shrugged
“Oh wow, looks like we’re going to be rich!” Tommy yelled out happily
“Tommy, do us all a big favor,
and don’t talk for the rest of the day.” Sammy smirked
“No wonder Fisher, hid them way out here.
He probably thought it’d be the perfect hiding spot.” Cookie added
“Yah, but where did he get them from?” Mat asked
“Well, that’s for the cops to figure out.
I’m hoping that they’ll give us a reward or something for finding them.”
The case begins
A few hours later they were inside their clubhouse discussing what they found
“I can’t believe that we just left those dolls.” Tommy whined
“Well, since they don’t belong to us.” Daisy began
“I’m pretty sure that they don’t belong to Fisher, either.
He probably stole them.” Tommy interrupted her smirking
“Exactly, that’s why we should just let the cops take care of it.”
“Not so fast there buddy,
before we go to the cops we should have some proof.” Tommy told him
“What’s wrong with just telling them where the bags are?” Sammy frowned
“Because what if Fisher, went back and took them. Or hid them someplace else
“No, we need something to show them
and I’ve an idea where we can get it.” Tommy answered him
On the hunt for clues
A few minutes later Mat tried opening the back door to Peter Fisher’s store.
But of course, it was locked
They were about to give up.
When Tommy found an open window that they could climb through
“I don’t think this is such a great idea.
What if he has a burglar alarm or something?”
Sammy whispered over to them
“Get real Sammy, this is Rocky Shores, we don’t even lock our front door.
Now Tommy and I’ll climb in then we’ll let you guys, in okay?”
Mat answered him
“Okay, exactly what are we looking for?”
Sammy asked once they were all inside
“Anything, that’ll help us prove that
Fisher’s nothing but a good for nothing butt head.” Mat snorted
“Oh, okay got it.” Sammy shrugged.
Daisy looked over towards Sammy and laughed at his confusion
“What he means, we should be looking for anything
that will help us prove that he’s a thief.”
“Hey, check this out.
These look like the dolls that we found out in the river.” Mat told them
“Yah, and I bet they’re filled with diamonds too.”
He was just about to grab one when a loud angry voice interrupted
“I’m telling you Mr. Fisher, when I went out there to pick up the bags.
They were gone are you sure that left them on the spot we agreed on.”
“Of course, I’m sure.” Peter snorted
“Okay, okay, are you sure that you weren’t seen or followed.
When you were hiding the bags?” The stranger frowned.
Peter thought for a moment then answered
“I don’t think so, but I did overhear my assistant telling her friend.
That her nosey kid and his friends were going out there.”
“So?” The stranger shrugged
“So, it’s no secret that the little brat hates me.
I wouldn’t put it pass him to hide them someplace else.” Peter growled
“Then what are we waiting for.
Let’s go over to this kid’s house and ask him if he knows anything
“And for your sakes Mr. Fisher,
I certainly hope that you’re telling me the truth.” The stranger smirked
Let's go catch our crook
A few minutes later the gang came out of their hiding spot
“Oh great, didn’t I tell you guys, that this was a bad idea.
Not only do we’ve to worry about Fisher,
“But now we’ve his creepy friend looking for us!” Sammy cried out
“I hate to agree with Sammy,
but we should’ve just went and talked with the cops.” Daisy agreed
“But what if these goons decide to hurt my mom.” Mat whined
“I’m sure she’s going to be okay.
But we better get out of here though,
I don’t want to be here if they decide to come back.” Cookie told him
The next day the girls were waiting for the boys inside their club house
“I wonder what’s taking them so long?” Daisy asked
“I was thinking the same thing, maybe we.” Vicky began
“Hi.” A voice from behind interrupted.
The girls turned around to see that
Tommy and Sammy were standing right behind them
“Were have you guys, been and where’s Mat?” Daisy asked them
“We were hoping that he was with you guys,
we went over to his house earlier.
But after he didn’t answer we got a funny feeling
and went straight to the police station
“And told an officer the whole story.” Tommy began to explain
“Yah, our genius here,
hid one of the dolls inside his pants last night and showed it him!”
“Whoa, and what did he tell you?” Vicky asked
“After he examined the dolls.
He told us that they’ve been keeping an eye on Fisher,
there have been rumors that he has been stealing from the towns funds
“But they can’t prove it.
So, supposal they were going out to the river to search for the rest of the dolls.”
Tommy answered her
“Cool!” So, what are we waiting for.
Let’s go and help them!” Cookie added happily
An hour or so later they were searching around the same spot
in where they had found the bag of dolls before
“That’s weird, I wonder what happened.” Sammy began
“Shh, look.” Vicky interrupted him pointing
to a few feet away from where they were standing
Standing there was Mat and his mom along with Peter and his creepy friend
“Okay kid, I’m going to ask you one more time.
Where are those bags!” Peter was yelling in Mat’s face
“Relax, Mr. Fisher, there’s no need to yell at the kid. Now son,
I know that you’re scared but it’s okay
“Just tell us what we want to know and then you and your mom,
will be free to go home.” Peter’s friend smirked
“Peter, for god sakes!” just leave him alone,
he already told you that he doesn’t know what you’re talking about!”
Mat’s mom cried out.
Peter was about to answer her back when Peter’s friend suddenly pulled out a gun
And pointed at them
“Are you crazy!” Put that away before you hurt one of us!”
Peter cried out. And before any of them could react
A distant voice yelled out
“Hold it right there!”
Soon after wards Bank Rivers, was filled with police officers
The next afternoon they were gathered inside Cookie’s bedroom
“I can’t thank you guys, enough.
I thought I was a goner for sure, when that creep pulled out that gun.”
Mat was telling them
“That was pretty scary.
But you don’t have to thank us, that’s what friends are for
“So, what’s going to happen with your mom?” Vicky asked him
“Well, after she gave her statement to the police.
We had a long talk about everything. She told me that at first, he was really- nice
“but as soon as she found out that he was stealing.
She threatened to turn him in that was until
he threatened her back that he would go after me.” Mat explained
“Oh wow.” Cookie told him
“She also told me, that after the bash is over.
We’ll be going away for a very long over-due vacation
“But first, she’s going to give us a very special reward for a job well done!”
Mat proudly added
“That’s awesome Mat,
So, did she tell you what was going to happen with Fisher and his friend?”
“Oh, they’re going to be going away for a very long time.
But the cool part is that, she was told by the chief of police
that he was going make sure that all of Fisher’s new pals
“Inside the state prison that if any of them even dare to came to our town.
That they better think again.
Because they wouldn’t
the We always catch our crooks club going after them in any way!”
